ACTap 2020 CALENDAR .

 

TITLE: Talents Intellectual Property and Business law Workshop/Training.

HOST/ORGANISER: Australia Community Theatre and Talents Practitioners Inc., (ACtap).

ABOUT: This is a one-day workshop/training delivered together with Australia’s leading intellectual property firm that focuses on intellectual property management strategies for upcoming and professional Community Talents. It is designed to equip Talents with the necessary knowledge to protect their intellectual property through trademarks, patents, registering a business name, insurance and design registration without giving away their secret sources.

DATE PROPOSED: Saturday 22nd February, 2020 or Saturday 29th February 2020 (TBC).

TITLE: Harmony Talents Night (Harmony Week 2020).

HOST/ORGANISER: Australia Community Theatre and Talents Practitioners Inc., (ACTap).

ABOUT: Harmony Day is a day of cultural respect for everyone who calls Australia home - from the traditional owners of this land to those who have come from many countries around the world. Harmony Day began in 1999, coinciding with the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. Each year, it is marked by people coming together and participating in local activities. The continuing message of Harmony Day is 'Everyone Belongs'. Upcoming and Professional Talents will perform different Theatrical Spectacles to mark the occasion.

TITLE: Talents Instrument Music Dance Acting Multimedia Training (TIMDAMT)

HOST/ORGANISER: Australia Community Theatre and Talents Practitioners Inc., (ACTap).

ABOUT: ACTap TIMDAMT empowers people into instrument, music, dance, acting and multimedia training in different ways which could be as a hobby, fun or as a career choice to earn money. The training will include Keyboard, Trumpet, Cello, Flute, Saxophone, Bass Guitar, Percussion, Violin, Electric Guitar, Drum set, Classical Guitar, Piano, Keyboard, Radio broadcast, Television broadcast, Short film production, Cinematography, Script writing, Film editing, Drama, Theatre Arts, Jingle, Promo, Documentary, Youtube and other social media creation, Web design, Online audience building and marketing, Basic computer appreciation and application.

DATE PROPOSED: Thursday 14th May, 2020, Friday 15th May, 2020 and 16th Saturday, 2020.

TITLE: Refugees Week Talents Show (World Refugee Day).

HOST/ORGANISER: Australia Community Theatre and Talents Practitioners Inc., (ACTap).

ABOUT: Refugee Week is Australia’s peak annual activity to inform the public about refugees and celebrate positive contributions made by refugees to Australian society. Refugee Week provides a platform where positive images of refugees can be promoted in order to create a culture of welcome throughout the country. The ultimate aim of the celebration is to create better understanding between different communities and to encourage successful integration enabling refugees to live in safety and to continue making a valuable contribution to Australia.

TITLE: Talents Mental Health Workshop (World International Mental Health Day)

HOST/ORGANISER: Australia Community Theatre and Talents Practitioners Inc., (ACTap).

ABOUT: Talents Mental Health Workshop is the help provided to a talents/artist who is developing a mental health problem, or who is in a mental health crisis (eg, the person is suicidal or has had a traumatic experience). Developing mental health problems to be covered covered: Depression, Anxiety problems, Psychosis, Substance use problems

Mental health crises to be covered: Suicidal thoughts and behaviours, Non-suicidal self-injury, Panic attacks, Traumatic events, Severe effects of alcohol or other drug use, Severe psychotic states and Aggressive behaviours.

"FESTIVAL OF TALENTS & ACTap AWARDS 2020” is a family friendly day of diverse entertainment, multicultural communities talents showcase, awards presentations, foods, drinks, beverages, fashion, entertainment, education, networking and lots more...

The objective of the talents awards night is to showcase, recognise, celebrate and award the talents, most significantly to educate them on their legal rights concerning their intellectual properties and to support the mental health of artists from diverse communities. For example, people living with disabilities, Indigenous Aboriginals, new arrivals from continents of Africa, Europe, Asia, North America, South America, Oceania, refugees, asylum seekers, young people, regional and rural Victorians, and socially isolated and disadvantaged people in our community.
